Production Strategy

The production strategy I used was capturing extreme close-ups and capturing objects that are blurred by any possible means. I went to McKinley beach because I figured this area would be an appropriate place to utilize these strategies. I was able to get far shots of the lake which actually resulted in very blurry images. When I shot from a long distance, the image usually came out blurry. What resulted from these strategies was I captured many nice, aesthetically pleasing images yet also many gritty, unpleasant images. Due to these circumstances, I decided to produce my final project according to the idea of good vs. evil and how we can't necessarily tell the difference any more. We're straining to see, straining to understand the difference.

The charming images are supposed to represent "good" while the gritty images represent "evil". The blurry images play upon the theme of not understanding the difference. It's not a black and white thing any more. It is difficult to understand.
